Description:

Trackers Earth is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Part-Time Seasonal Bus Driver to support student transportation for our Seattle and Kirkland locations. This role is responsible for conducting morning pre-trip bus inspections, safely driving students to and from program sites, and returning and parking buses at the end of each route. This is an ideal opportunity for a professional driver seeking seasonal, part-time work with a predictable staggered schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily pre-trip inspections to help ensure buses are safe, clean, fueled as needed, and ready for service.
  • Safely transport students to and from program sites, following assigned routes, schedules, and all traffic laws.
  • Support a calm, professional, and safety-centered environment for student riders.
  • Communicate promptly with program staff regarding timing, route changes, delays, or transportation concerns.
  • Park and secure buses appropriately after routes are completed.
  • Report incidents, maintenance concerns, or safety issues in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies and transportation regulations.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL required; passenger and school bus endorsements are strongly preferred if applicable to the vehicle and route assignment.
  • Clean driving record and commitment to safe, defensive driving practices.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and identify basic safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to meet any applicable employer, program, licensing, background check, and medical certification requirements for transporting students.
Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time seasonal position with a staggered workday, typically totaling approximately 4 hours per day. Shifts will generally align with morning and afternoon transportation needs. Compensation is up to $40 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and applicable licensing.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role involves regular driving, entering and exiting buses, and completing visual vehicle inspections in varying weather conditions. The driver must be able to remain alert, manage time effectively, and maintain a strong focus on safety throughout each shift.
