What is a roofing admin?

Roofing Admins, or Roofing Administrators, are professionals responsible for handling administrative tasks within a roofing company or department. Their duties typically include scheduling appointments, processing invoices, managing customer records, coordinating with field crews, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. They play a crucial role in keeping roofing projects organized and running smoothly, serving as a bridge between customers, field staff, and management. Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills are important for success in this role.

What are some common challenges faced by a roofing admin, and how can they be managed effectively?

Roofing Admins often juggle multiple responsibilities such as scheduling jobs, coordinating with crews, processing insurance paperwork, and maintaining records. A common challenge is balancing urgent requests from field teams with ongoing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with project management software can help manage these demands. Collaborating closely with project managers and field supervisors ensures that priorities are aligned and workflows remain efficient.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a roofing admin, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Roofing Admin, you need organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with administrative tasks, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with roofing industry software, project management tools, and office systems such as Microsoft Office is typically required. Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service abilities help set top performers apart in this role. These skills ensure accurate project coordination, effective client interaction, and smooth operational support for roofing projects.

What is the difference between Roofing Admin vs Roofing Coordinator?

AspectRoofing Admin

Job description

Experienced Roofing Sales Representative — 50/50 Profit Split + Bonuses

SkyGuard Roofing Solutions | Fort Worth / DFW

Experienced Roofing Sales Professionals Wanted

If you're already successful in roofing sales but you're tired of watching admin fees and unnecessary overhead reduce your commissions—or spending your time managing the back end instead of selling—we'd like to talk to you.

SkyGuard Roofing Solutions is a family-owned, faith-based DFW roofing company with 16 years of industry experience. We're intentionally growing our sales team and looking for experienced roofing sales professionals who want strong earning potential, excellent back-office support, and direct access to company ownership.

Compensation

50/50 Profit Split

We believe the people producing the business should be rewarded for it.

NO ADMIN FEE deducted from your commission.

Performance Bonuses

In addition to your regular 50/50 profit commission:

  • $500,000 in annual revenue: Earn a 3% bonus on the first $500,000 = $15,000
  • Next $500,000 in the same calendar year: Earn a 5% bonus on that $500,000 = $25,000

Produce $1 million in revenue during the calendar year and that's up to $40,000 in additional performance bonuses—on top of your regular commissions.

Performance bonus thresholds reset January 1 each year.

You Sell. We Handle the Back End.

Your time should be spent generating business and taking care of your customers—not buried in administrative work.

SkyGuard provides support for:

  • Scheduling
  • Production coordination
  • Material ordering
  • Supplements
  • Back-office and clerical work
  • Certificates of Completion
  • Insurance-related documentation and processes
  • Applicable company insurance requirements
  • Ongoing job support

You bring in the business. Our team helps move it through production and completion.

What Makes SkyGuard Different?

Direct Access to Ownership

We're not a massive roofing corporation where you're just another salesperson on a roster.

You'll have direct access to owners with 16 years of roofing-industry experience who are actively involved in helping our representatives succeed.

Continued Training & Support

Experience doesn't mean you stop learning.

We hold weekly meetings to sharpen our processes, work through challenges, improve sales skills, discuss insurance and roofing issues, and help our team continue developing.

Faith, Integrity & Purpose

SkyGuard Roofing Solutions is a faith-based company built around integrity, accountability and doing business the right way.

As part of that commitment, 5% of company profit is donated to nonprofit organizations before profit distributions are made.

We want sales professionals who care about earning a great living while representing a company they can be proud to put their name behind.

Who We're Looking For

This particular position is for an experienced roofing sales professional.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous roofing sales experience
  • Understands door-to-door prospecting and self-generating business
  • Is comfortable working in insurance restoration
  • Understands the basic roofing sales and claims process
  • Is confident speaking with homeowners
  • Can prospect and generate opportunities independently
  • Is motivated by performance-based compensation
  • Has strong follow-through and communication skills
  • Values integrity and professionalism
  • Is coachable even with prior industry experience
  • Has reliable transportation
  • Wants to grow with a locally owned company

This May Be the Right Move If...

You're currently selling roofs but wondering:

Where is all my commission going?

Why am I paying an admin fee when I'm the one generating the business?

Why am I spending my selling time dealing with production and paperwork?

Why can't I get management on the phone when I need help with a job?

Is there actually room for me to grow at my current company?

If those questions sound familiar, we'd like to have a confidential conversation.

We're not looking for everyone.

We're looking for experienced roofing sales professionals who produce, operate with integrity, want to be compensated well for their performance, and want the support of an experienced team behind them.
