Who we're looking for
We are seeking a motivated Snowflake & Analytics Platform Engineer to support the design, administration, and optimization of our Snowflake data platform and analytics ecosystem. This role will help maintain a secure, scalable, and reliable environment that supports reporting, visualization, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and future-generation BI platforms such as AWS QuickSight.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge in Snowflake platform support, analytics tooling, access management, and data platform operations. This role will work closely with data engineering, analytics, security, and business teams to help improve platform usability, governance, performance, and adoption.
What you'll be doing
  • Support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Snowflake platform across development, test, and production environments
  • Assist with managing Snowflake warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and access permissions following established standards and best practices
  • Help monitor platform performance, usage, and cost to support efficient and reliable operations
  • Contribute to platform security and governance activities, including role-based access control, user provisioning, and access reviews
  • Support user onboarding tasks such as account setup, access requests, documentation, and general platform enablement
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documentation, standards, and operational procedures for Snowflake platform usage and support
  • Work with analytics and reporting teams to support visualization tools such as Tableau and future BI capabilities such as AWS QuickSight
  • Help troubleshoot platform, access, and performance issues across Snowflake and connected analytics tools
  • Participate in observability, audit readiness, and operational monitoring efforts to improve platform reliability and compliance support
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams to support platform improvements and broader adoption
  • Contribute to best practices for data platform operations, support processes, and reusable patterns
  • Stay current on new Snowflake features and analytics platform capabilities, including emerging AI-enabled and BI capabilities where relevant

What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with Snowflake in an engineering, support, analytics, or platform administration capacity
  • Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, with exposure to AWS QuickSight considered a plus
  • Understanding of core data platform concepts including databases, schemas, roles, compute warehouses, and data access controls
  • Knowledge of platform security concepts such as RBAC, least-privilege access, and user access management
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills for troubleshooting, validation, and support tasks
  • Experience with monitoring, usage analysis, cost awareness, and operational support in a cloud data environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues across platform and user support areas
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and work effectively with cross-functional teams
