Job description

Home Work Renovation is a boutique, high-end residential renovation company. The owners/partners of the company are both highly experienced carpenters and builders with a combined 50+ years of experience in many different aspects of construction/renovation and project management. We love to share our knowledge and teach others via the projects we build together. We are a rapidly growing company working on several active projects in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
We are seeking a High-End Rough + Finish Carpenter / Renovation Specialist with 10+ Years of Experience to work side-by-side with us.

We work on a wide range of Projects including Custom Bathroom & Custom Kitchen Renovations, Full Apartment Renovations & Full Townhouse/Brownstone Renovation projects. We are looking for a reliable, responsible, efficient carpenter whose confident, has a positive/humble attitude, and is looking for long term growth.
Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen OR have a work authorization card.
  • Able to autonomously foresee problems, come up with a viable solution and be able to work alone or with a team. 
  • Pictures of past work required.
  • Must provide references. 
  • Preferred but not required 40 hrs OSHA.
  • Able to perform various manual and skilled labor tasks including but not limited to flooring, framing, trim and various other carpentry.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. safely without any concerns.
  • Must be highly motivated, consistently punctual and able to accomplish tasks with a positive/humble attitude. 
  • Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience with high-end millwork installations.
  • Proficiency in reading plans.
  • Must be competent with email, text message and company communications/software.
  • Able to manage a project and keep said project on schedule on a daily basis.
  • Must have personal tools. 
  • Able to comfortably take the lead when needed.
