Job Purpose
The Armada Insurance team understands the importance of comprehensive insurance reviews and 100% compliance with lender and investor requirements. We provide the rapid turnaround required in today's fast-paced real estate market. The Vice President (VP) leads the oversight of the assigned Insurance Analysts team members with a high level of interaction and communication between client, management, and team members. The workflow must be monitored to ensure staff is adequately utilized. In addition, the VP must be able to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment while also managing complex assigned deals and special projects.
The VP serves as a key member of the Insurance leadership team and partners closely with Senior Vice President to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth, operational scalability, client satisfaction, and employee engagement.
This role is accountable for ensuring best-in-class insurance review services, maintaining compliance with lender and investor requirements, building strong client relationships, and developing a high-performing team capable of supporting the company's long-term growth objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide oversight of Commercial Insurance Pre-Close and Annual Renewal operations.
* Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of insurance review services to clients.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.
* Oversee quality assurance programs and ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
* Lead, mentor, and develop department team managers.
* Ensure all insurance review activities comply with lender, investor, regulatory, and company requirements.
* Oversee reviews of insurance ACORD forms to ensure compliance with lender and investor standards.
* Participate in special projects based on directions of the SVP.
* Review of ACORD insurance forms and/or insurance policies for acceptability of investor/lender insurance requirements pertaining to commercial real estate loan origination and ongoing compliance monitoring.
* Based on findings from ACORD form compared to lender requirements, contact insurance agents to adjust coverage to acceptable levels--ensure insurance policies are compliant to lender and investor requirements.
* Ensure that loan reviews are completed timely and accurately to meet lender target rate lock and closing dates.
* Perform quality control reviews and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.
* Drive consistent revenue growth by meeting or surpassing assigned production benchmarks
* Attend senior leadership meetings that are focused on company initiatives and assist with execution of initiatives as directed by SVP.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
* 10+ years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience, with significant experience in commercial real estate insurance review operations.
* 7+ years' experience working with commercial lenders, loan servicers, insurance carriers, or brokerages.
* Demonstrated success leading operational growth, process improvement, and client service initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of investor and lender insurance requirements for commercial real estate lending.
* Expertise in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, and Balance Sheet insurance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related discipline.
* Professional insurance designation such as CPCU, ARM, CIC, CRM, or equivalent.
* Experience leading remote and geographically dispersed teams.
