Job description

Providence Real Estate is currently seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at our newest community in the Tampa Palms area in Florida. This full-time position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys maintaining a well-run residential community.

This role supports the day-to-day maintenance operations of the property, helping ensure residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment. The technician will respond to service requests, assist with apartment turns, and perform a variety of repairs throughout the community. We are looking for someone with solid troubleshooting ability who can work independently while contributing positively to the property team.

Pay: $21-$25 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

Diagnose and complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
Prepare apartments for move-in (make-readies) to company standards
Complete service requests efficiently with minimal supervision
Maintain curb appeal, common areas, and preventative maintenance schedules
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies
Communicate professionally with residents and the onsite team

In this role, your work helps maintain the overall quality and reputation of the community. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to timely service will contribute directly to resident satisfaction and the smooth operation of the property.

Schedule

Monday-Friday
Occasional Saturdays
Rotating on-call duties

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
HVAC certification required
Proven troubleshooting and repair skills
Ability to work independently and responsibly, and meet deadlines

Candidates should be dependable, organized, and comfortable handling a variety of maintenance tasks within a residential property environment.
