Hours are flexible to accommodate your class schedule.

Your duties/responsibilities

  • Support the development and optimization of preventive maintenance programs, task plans, and schedules to improve asset reliability and performance

  • Assist in creating and improving standard operating procedures and maintenance documentation to increase quality, consistency, and execution readiness

  • Analyze maintenance routes and workflows to reduce travel time, improve technician productivity, and support efficient terminal operations

  • Identify gaps in maintenance effectiveness and recommend data-driven improvements based on asset history, failure trends, and operational priorities

  • Contribute to predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies using performance indicators, trends, and equipment condition data

  • Support data standardization and improve the use of information from CMMS, HMI, and SCADA systems to strengthen maintenance planning and asset management decisions

Your skills & experience

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation between December 2027 and July 2028.

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with a GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a professional, fast-paced environment through internships, part-time work, research, volunteering, student leadership, or other relevant experience.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent, and ongoing basis without current or future sponsorship requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in applying engineering principles to maintenance, reliability, and asset performance challenges.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with care and consistency.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with CMMS, data analysis, or visualization tools is a plus.

Why join our airport team

  • Work on meaningful projects that support the reliability, safety, and day-to-day performance of a major airport terminal

  • Gain hands-on experience with industry-recognized asset management practices, digital maintenance tools, and a collaborative team shaping a world-class passenger experience

The base salary for this role is $21.25 per hour. You will learn a wealth of information about the aviation industry and airport operations while here, and if this internship goes full-time, additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) will be offered!  Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
