Job description

A-Level Automotive Technician – Earn $80K–$120K

If you're an A-Tech who can diagnose and produce, this is the kind of shop where you can actually make money consistently — not just when the tickets are big.

Meroke Auto is a high-volume, fast-moving shop where strong techs thrive. You won’t be stuck waiting on work, and you won’t be penalized when you’re deep in diagnostics.

What You Need to Know (Quick Hits)

  • Pay: $80,000 – $120,000 OTE (Base + Production Bonus)
  • Bonus Structure: Starts at 30 flagged hours, increases every 5 hours
  • Schedule: Flexible 9–5 (Mon–Fri), Saturdays optional
  • Work Mix: Diagnostics + steady production (not a sit-and-diagnose role)
  • Car Count: 60–70 vehicles per week (plenty of work)
  • Shop Size: 3 bays / 4 lifts (tight, efficient team)
  • Vehicle Types: 6–15 year old domestic & Asian
  • Ownership: Direct access, open to ideas, actively improving operations

How to Apply (Important)

We move fast — and so should you.

Step 1: Apply
Step 2: Complete a quick phone interview with our AI assistant “Paige” (takes about 10 minutes)

After you apply, you’ll receive an automated text message with a phone number you can call at your convenience to complete the interview. Candidates who complete the Paige interview get priority.

Why Techs Choose This Shop

  • You’ll stay busy. High car count means consistent hours and earnings
  • You’re protected. Base + bonus structure keeps income steady during diagnostic work
  • Flexible schedule. 9–5 in this industry is rare
  • Real influence. Work directly with ownership and help shape shop processes
  • Growth opportunity. Part of a growing multi-shop operation
  • Forward-thinking. Ownership is investing in tools, systems, and internal tech

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Diagnose check engine lights, noises, and drivability issues
  • Perform repairs across a steady flow of work
  • Balance diagnostic time with production output
  • Move jobs efficiently through the shop
  • Work with other techs and delegate when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of automotive experience
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Own your own tools
  • Able to perform in a high-volume environment

Nice to Have:

  • ASE certifications
  • Experience with domestic & Asian vehicles
  • Familiarity with Snap-on, Autel, AllData, Identifix

Shop Details

  • High volume of light service + diagnostics
  • Solid ARO around $300+
  • Uses Tekmetric (no DVI yet)
  • Processes are evolving — your input matters

Benefits

  • Paid holidays
  • Flexible PTO / sick time
  • Ongoing training (more coming)

Before You Apply — Know This

  • This is not a pure diagnostic role — you must produce
  • High-volume, lower ARO work isn’t for everyone
  • Small shop — no room for low output

If you want a shop where you can earn, stay busy, and actually have a voice, this is it.

Apply now and get started.
