This position requires a full-time commitment in our Batavia-based hospital, where you will engage directly with patients and the healthcare team. • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations for patients with personal injuries, assessing their medical history and current health status.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, including NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, and medicated patches, based on individual patient needs.
• Order and interpret necessary MRIs to facilitate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Utilize telehealth platforms for remote consultations, enabling patients to receive care conveniently and promptly.
• Coordinate referrals to physical therapy and specialists in pain management to ensure comprehensive treatment pathways.
• Maintain and manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and thorough documentation of patient care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to create a holistic care plan that improves patient outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on patients experiencing pain management issues, particularly those with personal injuries. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, including individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, each with unique health challenges. Your role is essential in helping these patients navigate their treatment journey with empathy and expertise.

• A current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body, reflecting your professional credentials in the field.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health records systems to streamline patient management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in pain management or a related field, demonstrating your capability in managing complex cases.
