We are hiring for a Data Entry Specialist on behalf of our client, a leader in travel-based health and wellness services. Working in partnership with corporate and government stakeholders, they support critical public health initiatives that require top-tier compliance and operational excellence. This position serves as a key operational team member responsible for inputting, validating, and protecting sensitive tracking information within a dynamic transport facility environment.
Location: Dulles, VA
Compensation: $22.00/hr
Status: 6-month contract starting August 6th (possibility for extensions)
Schedule:
- Sunday - Thursday; 6:00A-2:30P, 2:30P-11:00P
- Tuesday - Saturday; 6:00A-2:30P, 2:30P-11:00P
Responsibilities
- Input program, participant, and operational details accurately into designated electronic databases.
- Audit source documentation for errors, gaps, or inconsistencies prior to the data entry process.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and correct records in a timely manner to keep system logs updated.
- Maintain data integrity by adhering to standardized workflows and conducting routine quality assurance audits.
- Manage strict confidentiality of all participant files and Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and data security regulations.
- Flag and escalate incomplete or questionable source information to leadership for quick resolution.
- Coordinate with operational personnel to support program reporting requirements and the tracking of internal records.
- Participate in required compliance training, team meetings, and the onboarding of new department staff.
Qualifications and Key Skills
- High School Diploma or GED certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, records management, or a related role.
- Advanced typing and keyboarding speed combined with general computer proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to process data with measurable accuracy.
- Knowledge of or professional exposure to HIPAA regulations and privacy compliance protocols.
- Practical proficiency with standard office software platforms, specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently to hit productivity timelines in a fast-paced airport workplace.
- Flexibility to work varied operational schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable with travel for one week of training in Georgia
- Preferred backgrounds include coursework in Healthcare Administration or Public Health, previous experience handling medical records, or multilingual capabilities.
