Accounts Receivable Coordinator


Position Overview

Our client is seeking an organized and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join their accounting team in the King of Prussia area. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, applying payments, and supporting the overall accounts receivable function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.


Responsibilities

  • Apply customer payments received via ACH, wire transfers, lockbox, checks, and credit cards.
  • Review outstanding receivables and communicate with customers regarding overdue balances.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, unapplied cash, and billing issues.
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer account records.
  • Partner with internal departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, to resolve invoice-related questions.
  • Process invoices, credit memos, account adjustments, and other AR transactions.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Prepare aging reports, collection updates, and other accounts receivable metrics for management.
  • Support new customer account setup, credit documentation, and ongoing account maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and company policies while identifying opportunities to improve AR processes.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, Billing, or Commercial Collections.
  • Solid understanding of accounts receivable principles, payment application, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience utilizing ERP or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, Sage, or similar systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
