About the Role
In this role you will D esign and develop tools to support product manufacturing and assembly. Independently analyze specifications, set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathe, milling, grinder), fit and assemble parts, and fabricate, maintain, or repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Determine machining requirements, execute processes, and verify that parts meet specifications.
What you will be doing
  • Set up and operates manual machines, such as lathes, milling machines or grinders, to machine simple to moderately complex parts to specifications.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to layout stock for machining and a ssist Tool & Die Maker with computing dimensions and planning layout and assembly operation.
  • Positions and secures parts in a holding device. Uses hand-tools to fit and assemble parts to assemblies or mechanisms.
  • Verifies conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Aid the Tool Grinders and Tool and Die Makers as needed.
  • Provides required work tools and measurement devices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

About You
Required Qualifications :
  • High school education or equivalent and t wo years of trade school training in machining technologies plus two years related tool room or manufacturing experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience with Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing and print reading required.
  • Previous CNC programming experience required.
