POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal Dishwasher is self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting back-of-house operations that help create an outstanding guest experience every day. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitized, and stored quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, including sinks, dish machines, and surrounding workspaces.
  • Assist with general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and equipment breakdown or setup as needed.
  • Support other areas of the restaurant, including prep, line support, restocking, and table bussing, as business needs require.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or leadership team.
  • Hours and scheduling will vary based on business levels and operational needs.
  • Take out trash regularly, ensuring proper disposal and cleanliness of waste areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant needs.
  • A valid food handler’s card, where required by local or state regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, sometimes for the entire shift.
  • Frequent and repetitive bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 40 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work in hot, humid, or fast-paced kitchen environments.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to handle wet, slippery, or soapy conditions safely.
