Overview
The Transportation Analyst I supports day-to-day transportation planning in TMS/OTM, focusing on executing load plans, tracking shipments, maintaining data integrity, and resolving basic transportation issues. This role is data-driven and requires strong attention to detail to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries while supporting continuous process improvement.
What You'll Do
  • Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to plan, tender, execute, and track shipments.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Source carriers, tender loads, and assist in load planning activities.
  • Analyze transportation and supply chain data to identify basic trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Create reports and simple data visualizations using tools such as Excel.
  • Maintain transportation documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support troubleshooting of minor transportation issues and assist in issue resolution.
  • Assist in maintaining SOPs and routing guides.
  • Learn and support fuel surcharge tracking and related reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to support daily operations.
  • Support after-hours issue resolution on a rotating basis.
  • Monitor carrier performance and escalate issues when needed.
  • Assist with carrier scorecards and performance tracking.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in logistics or transportation.
  • Basic understanding of transportation concepts and terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms (Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
