Job description

Description:

The Integrated Test Coordinator will support DDG modernization and repair execution by coordinating test planning, system restoration, test readiness, deficiency resolution, and turnover. This role serves as the link between production, QA, engineering, shipโ€™s force, test teams, and customer representatives to ensure systems are restored, tested, and accepted in the proper sequence.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate integrated test planning and execution for DDG shipboard systems.

Track system restoration status from production completion through test and turnover.

Develop and maintain test schedules tied to production progress and key milestones.

Verify test prerequisites, including work completion, WAF status, tag-out status, material readiness, procedure readiness, and QA checkpoints.

Coordinate with production trades, QA, engineering, shipโ€™s force, and customer representatives.

Identify test blockers, open work items, missing documentation, and system readiness gaps.

Support daily test coordination, restoration, and production status meetings.

Track deficiencies, retest requirements, corrective actions, and turnover status.

Help sequence testing to avoid trade conflicts, system conflicts, and schedule impacts.

Support safe and controlled restoration of ship systems after modernization or repair work.

Provide clear daily status updates to Vigor leadership and customer stakeholders.


Physical Job Requirements

Ability to work onboard Navy ships during active repair and modernization periods.

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, vertical accesses, and shipboard trunks.

Ability to walk the ship frequently to verify test readiness and system restoration status.

Ability to stand for extended periods during testing, inspections, and coordination meetings.

Ability to access machinery spaces, equipment rooms, weather decks, and restricted areas.

Ability to wear required PPE for shipyard and shipboard environments.

Ability to work around industrial noise, hot work, electrical work, rotating equipment, and active production zones.

Ability to carry a laptop/tablet, test documentation, and light coordination materials.

Ability to safely navigate staging, temporary services, hoses, cables, and confined shipboard areas.


Education/Certification Requirements

DDG platform experience strongly preferred.

Prior Navy shipboard testing, modernization, repair, or availability experience.

Experience coordinating HM&E, electrical, combat systems, auxiliary systems, or integrated shipboard systems.

Familiarity with test procedures, test prerequisites, system restoration, and turnover processes.

Ability to work across production, QA, engineering, test, shipโ€™s force, and customer teams.

Strong problem-solving, scheduling, and communication skills.

Ability to work onsite in Seattle and onboard an active Navy vessel
