General Maintenance - Mueller Refrigeration, LLC
Mueller Refrigeration in Hartsville, TN has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations on Day Shift, 6 am to 2:30 pm Monday-Friday.
About the Role
The work of a Maintenance Technician at Mueller Refrigeration is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment. Mueller Refrigeration is a manufacturer of HVAC/R components (valves, fitting, protection devices). Product range includes ball valves, pressure relief valves, check valves, manifolds, and filter driers, built to high industry standards. Products are shipped from Hartsville, TN to customers and distribution centers throughout the US and internationally.
What You'll Do
  • Inspect and test equipment, using multimeter or other tools to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Identify and eliminate potential hazards before beginning work on equipment
  • Dismantle and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Install new equipment, and new or repaired parts
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Install and/or repair wiring and electrical and electronic components
  • Install and/or repair conduit, brazed and threaded pipes, and ducts
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Maintain or repair vehicles and forklifts
  • Maintain facilities, including electrical, plumbing, compressed gases, HVAC systems, and wastewater

Physical Demands
  • Frequent requirement to remain in a standing position, walking within and around work areas
  • Occasional climbing of ladders, stairs and equipment
  • Occasional stooping/bending/crouching/squatting/crawling to access low level components
  • Frequent seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hands
  • Frequent picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Occasional heavy lifting, pushing, pulling
  • Frequent performance of work in an environment that is not climate controlled with high ambient temperatures and humidity levels during summer months.
  • Required to work while being exposed to conditions such as fumes, noxious odors, dusts, mists, gases, and poor ventilation, that may affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin.

  • Knowledge of 480V 3-phase electrical systems
  • Experience with compressed air systems and hydraulic systems preferred
  • Welding and/or brazing experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills
