The Loss Mitigation Title, Team Lead will be responsible for reviewing title searches, identifying if title defects exist, determining the responsible party for those defects, and working to clear any origination or servicing related title issues in a timely manner, as part of the Loss Mitigation underwriting process. Also, responsible for providing workflow direction and assistance to lower-level team members. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Review title searches daily to determine if title defects exist.

  • Track account workflow to ensure compliance with legally required deadlines and provide trends/results to management. 

  • Monitor performance and provide additional training as needed to loss mitigation team members. 

  • Track and log all training events and ensure published job aids and procedure guides are up to date and in compliance.

  • Track and resolve any title defects associated with origination or servicing transfers.

  • Maintain a daily log of work performed and results to ensure department production needs are met.

  • Monitor staff compliance to underwriting guidelines and job performance through periodic loan sampling and provide trends/results to management. 

  • Monitor department inbox and respond to inquiries timely.

  • Work collaboratively with business units and users to translate requirements into practical solutions.

  • Prepare and present overview of department processes to Senior Management, internal/external audit, and investors as needed. 

  • Attend internal and external business partner/vendor meetings, providing feedback and support to Supervisor/Manager.

  • Function as the subject-matter expert for the department and provide professional and knowledgeable assistance, as needed.

  • Function as the back-up Supervisor for relief assignments in the absence of Supervisor.

  • Act as witness for CMS notary as necessary

  • Act as Notary for CMS document signings

  • Perform other duties and participate or lead projects as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

  • Four (4) or more years of title review and/or title curative experience.
