What you'll do

  • Examine title searches and supporting documents according to established procedures and approved underwriting guidelines (or attorney opinions of title)
  • Create and deliver accurate and hyperlinked commitments to the parties
  • Clear underwriting conditions or objections
  • Receive and review a final certified boundary survey for each closing
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal rules, regulations and guidelines
  • Manage changes or updates to title commitments prior to closing
  • Knowledge of official records & ability to look-up recorded documents online as needed
  • Daily updates of spreadsheets/logs/reports ensuring they are current and accurate
  • Complete monthly progress reports in a timely fashion
  • In those markets where attorneys are required to certify title work, agent is expected to review and examine the opinion of title and final opinion of title prior to issuing commitments or policies
  • Cooperate and assist with all future audits and title claims
  • Striving to achieve all criteria related to the measurement of customer satisfaction
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred, minimum of a High School or GED Diploma required
  • Licensed (in applicable state), or able to obtain required licenses in a timely fashion
  • Minimum 2 years' title experience
  • Good computer skills with experience in MS Office especially Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Data entry experience with high degree of accuracy
  • Good investigative and reconciliation skills
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining well organized
