We are seeking an experienced Title Officer with a minimum of 10 years of industry expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of real estate transactions, mortgage processes, and title insurance procedures. This role involves managing title searches, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth property transfers. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough knowledge of mortgage and loan documentation.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct detailed title searches and examinations to verify property ownership and identify liens or encumbrances
* Prepare and review title reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness
* Coordinate with underwriters, escrow officers, and legal teams to resolve title issues
* Ensure compliance with FNMA guidelines, Fair Housing regulations, TILA, and other relevant federal laws
* Review loan documents including contracts, escrow agreements, and loan commitments for accuracy and adherence to regulations
