Role Overview
Field Employees, including Crew Leads, Drivers, and Crew Members, play a critical role in delivering high-quality landscaping services to our customers. These roles are essential to the execution of our daily operations and directly impact the satisfaction and retention of our client base.
Crew Members are responsible for performing landscaping tasks to the highest quality and safety standards, while Crew Leads serve as the on-site supervisors, ensuring job execution aligns with company expectations, schedules, and client satisfaction goals. Crew Leads also act as the point of communication between the field team and management.
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Works With: Account Manager, Fellow Crew Members, Yard/Fleet Assistant (if applicable)
Core Responsibilities
Crew Leads are responsible for leading the crew on-site, ensuring jobs are completed on time, to quality standards, and in compliance with safety protocols. This includes managing daily schedules, directing crew activity, communicating with supervisors as needed, and logging job status in Aspire.
Crew Members are responsible for executing daily work assignments safely and efficiently, upholding customer expectations, maintaining equipment, and adhering to uniform and safety requirements. Both roles are expected to contribute to a positive team environment.
Drivers The Driver is responsible for safely transporting crew, equipment, and materials to and from job sites while following all traffic laws and company safety policies. This includes conducting safety checks before and after use, keeping vehicles clean and organized, securing all loads, and reporting any incidents or maintenance needs promptly. Accurate documentation and compliance with all driving requirements are essential.
Position Scope & Delegation
Crew Leads are responsible for on-site supervision, task assignment, and communication of job progress. They ensure crews stay on schedule, address field-level issues, and provide updates to the Operations Manager. Crew Members follow the direction of their Crew Lead and are responsible for executing their assigned duties to the best of their ability.

Crew Lead
- Achieve target man hours per job
- Fewer than 2 incidents per month
- Ensure all jobs are logged in Aspire
- Maintain all equipment and safety standards
- Manage and direct crew members effectively
Crew Member
- Meet or exceed customer quality standards
- Maintain all equipment and safety standards
- Maintain on-time attendance
- Wear proper uniform and safety attire at all times
Driver
- Conduct safety checks of vehicles before and after use.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization.
- Secure all equipment and materials during transport.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with HR at all times.
Leadership Standards
Crew Leads are expected to lead by example in professionalism, safety, punctuality, and job site conduct. They should foster teamwork, coach new crew members when needed, and escalate any issues to the Operations Manager promptly. All field employees are expected to demonstratereliability, respect, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
