Multiple part time positions available
10-12 weekly hours
Tuesdays - Thursdays from 8:45am-12:15pm

Primary Objective of Positions:
To lead outdoor summer recreation program for youth ages 4-12, and ensure a safe and fun environment. 
Job Responsibilities:
















  1. Lead, train, and support Summer Rec counselors.
  2. Develop and implement fun recreational curriculum and program goals to include field games, arts & crafts, nature activities, and special events.
  3. Be the initial contact for handling parent and student concerns and communication.
  4. In partnership with the Program Manager, develop the weekly themes and daily activities.
  5. Plan and carry out age- appropriate activities consistent with class goals.
  6. Supervise participants and volunteers.
  7. Provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for participants.
  8. Establish a positive and friendly relationship with parents.
  9. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

 
Job Qualifications:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Evidence of successful experience in and passion for working with children.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of recreation programs.
  4. Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to children and adults.
  5. Evidence of successful teaching and/or program leadership.
  6. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  7. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  8. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
  9. B.A. or B.S. Degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field preferred.
