Job description

Salary: $20-$40

We are looking for experienced Journeyman Tile Setter to join our fast-growing team! As a Journeyman Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain marble, and other types of tiles in High End Residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with tile installation, surface preparation, floating, read and interpret blueprints or drawing and the ability to mentor Jr. setters and helpers.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Install tiles on floors, walls, countertops, and backsplashes

  • Measure and cut tiles to fit specific layouts

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and preparing them for tile installation

  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards and specifications

  • Use appropriate materials, tools, and techniques for various tile installations

  • Work independently and with a team to meet project deadlines

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site

  • Ability to mentor helpers and Jr. setters as a team leader

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a tile setter (Journeyman status preferred)

  • Ability to work with various types of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of installation methods and tools

  • Ability to float shower pans and walls/floors when needed and waterproof where needed

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments

  • Tech savvy to allow the use of an iPad for daily reports and photos
