Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your primary role is to help maintain the hotel’s appearance, functionality, and overall guest experience through preventative maintenance, repairs, and operational support. From responding to maintenance requests to ensuring equipment runs efficiently, you are essential to keeping the property operating safely and smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repairs: Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, carpet, and basic HVAC work.

Guest Support: Provide friendly and professional service while responding to guest maintenance needs promptly and efficiently.

Operations: Assist the Chief Maintenance Engineer with daily maintenance tasks, inspections, and upkeep of hotel assets and mechanical systems. Maintain organized supplies and communicate inventory or ordering needs.

Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe equipment, incidents, or hazardous conditions immediately. Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with hotel standards.

Teamwork: Collaborate with all hotel departments as needed to support daily operations. Wear your uniform with pride and assist with additional duties when the team needs support.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of general maintenance experience required
  • Hotel maintenance experience preferred
  • General knowledge of:
  • Painting and drywall repair
  • Plumbing and electrical repairs
  • Carpet repair and general upkeep
  • HVAC systems (certification preferred)
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift or carry at least 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (possible weekends)
