Job Title: IT Technical Support (Tier 2 Helpdesk Technician)

Location: Plano, TX 75023

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Overview:

We re hiring a Tier 2 IT Helpdesk Technician with 5+ years of experience to support enterprise users and ensure seamless IT operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting issues in Microsoft Active Directory and Windows environments, providing timely, professional, and customer-oriented technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Tier 2 support for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Troubleshoot Active Directory issues (accounts, GPOs, permissions, login errors).

Support Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools.

Handle escalations from Tier 1 and coordinate with Tier 3/infrastructure teams.

Manage onboarding/offboarding, system access, and VIP/executive support.

Use ticketing tools like Zendesk or ServiceNow to track and resolve issues.

Perform patching, software deployment, and system maintenance.

Recommend improvements and ensure compliance with IT policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years in IT support within a corporate environment.

Expertise with Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and Windows 10/11.

Skilled with remote tools (SCCM, RDP) and Microsoft Office apps.

Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA.

Plus: experience with VDI, MacOS, PowerShell scripting, MDM, WDS, and ITIL.
