Job description

The Tier 2 Technician serves as the primary escalation point above Tier 1 and is responsible for day-to-day technical delivery across client environments. This role manages the full spectrum of cloud platform administration, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, network troubleshooting and configuration, and hands-on technical onboarding execution.
The Tier 2 Technician operates independently within a defined scope and escalates to the CTO only for architecture decisions, security incidents, development work, and other higher-level technical changes. This position is designed to absorb the operational technical responsibilities that would otherwise default to the CTO.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of MSP or IT support experience, with at least 2 years in a Tier 2 or system administrator role
Hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience required, including Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID
CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking experience
Experience with RMM platforms such as DattoRMM or similar tools
Ability to work independently without step-by-step supervision
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site work
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft 365 certification such as Microsoft-102 or equivalent
Experience supporting Google Workspace environments
Experience with UniFi networking platforms
Strong documentation habits and client-facing communication skills

The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient technical detail oriented who is comfortable owning escalated support issues, executing onboarding tasks, and maintaining cloud and network environments with minimal supervision.
