POSITION: Ticket Seller

FACILITY: Pensacola Bay Center

DEPARTMENT: Box Office/Finance

REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager or Designee

FLSA STATUS: Part-time, Hourly Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pensacola Bay Center's Ticket Seller is responsible for ticket sales to shows and events by performing the duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills; responds promptly to customer needs and requests for service and/or assistance.

  • Focus on each patron's order and fulfill in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Accurately dispenses tickets as requested by patrons using ticketing software and processes purchases made in person and by phone, when necessary.

  • Maintains accurate count when selling hard tickets or accesses computer for count of computer printed tickets.

  • Verify and distribute 'Will Call' tickets to patrons.

  • Completes daily ticket sales report.

  • Keeps accurate daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold; balances sales and submits to Box Office Manager or Supervisor for audit.

  • Provides guidance related to venue, show and ticket information.

  • Ability to work independently and handle most box office questions without assistance.

  • Efficiently and courteously answers questions concerning prices, seating, and events.

  • Files various records and reports and performs related office functions and clerical work as assigned.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Box Office Manager or Designee.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of six (6) months relatable experience required

  • Computer and money/payment handling experience strongly preferred

  • Experience in computerized ticket systems and/or guest services experience preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Accurately process and handle credit card payments

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Have excellent communication, listening, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Able to understand, speak, read, and write English

  • Able to interact with guests, vendors, and staff in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner

  • Able to operate two-way radio equipment
