Summary/Objective
Group Account Executives will focus mainly on generating revenue for the organization through group ticket sales and plan sales. This role is focused on high-volume prospecting, developing new relationships within the community, and creating memorable group experiences that introduce groups of people to Constellation Field and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys. Working directly with the Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service, the Group Account Executive will develop and execute a personal business plan centered on identifying, prospecting, closing, and retaining group sales accounts. Success in this role requires consistent outbound activity, creativity, strong organization, and a passion for connecting schools, youth sports organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups with the ballpark experience. Cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, and other proactive sales efforts will be essential to achieving and exceeding revenue goals.

Essential Functions

  • Generate new ticket revenue through the sale of group tickets, plan sales and other attendance-driving ticket products.
  • Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, community engagement, and in-person meetings.
  • Develop relationships with schools, youth sports organizations, churches, nonprofits, community groups, and local businesses.
  • Execute high-volume outbound sales efforts to consistently build a pipeline of qualified prospects and achieve individual sales goals.
  • Set appointments with prospective clients and deliver effective sales presentations focused on group outings, fan experiences, and ticket plans.
  • Identify client needs and recommend ticket products, experiences, and promotional opportunities that align with their objectives and budget.
  • Create and execute strategies that drive attendance, introduce new groups of people to the organization, and generate repeat business.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing accounts through regular communication, in-person visits, and proactive account management year-round.
  • Coordinate and deliver memorable game-day experiences for group clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Grow group ticket and plan sales revenue through both new business development and account renewals.
  • Work with the Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service to develop new group sales initiatives, promotional opportunities, and revenue-generating programs for the organization.
  • Represent the organization at games, ballpark events, community functions, and networking events while promoting ticket sales and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys brand.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all prospecting activity, customer interactions, sales opportunities, and account information within the CRM system.
  • Develop and execute a personal business plan focused on prospecting, revenue generation, customer retention, and professional growth.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all ticket products, promotions, marketing initiatives, and organizational offerings to effectively position solutions for prospective clients.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Business Administration or previous experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven sales experience, preferably with experience in selling for a professional sports organization.
  • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and conducting multiple in-person sales meetings per week.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding individual revenue goals and sales performance expectations.
  • Ability to present sales collateral, handle objections, negotiate and close ticket sales business.
  • Ability to identify client objectives and develop customized solutions that maximize value for both the client and the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage a personal sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and achieving revenue objectives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also operating independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales prospecting tools preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

This job operates both in an office setting and stadium environment.ย  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment.
