POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to the patients, visitors, and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.

Department: Patient Transport

Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours, Days Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7am-3:30pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6-12 Months of customer service or hospital experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • CPR/BLS certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Ability to lift without any limitations


Compensation Range:

$17.92- $26.63
