Old Dominion is currently recruiting for an Appointment Clerk to join our OD Family Culture. This role will successfully schedule company appointments to current and potential customers or clients in a fast paced high call volume environment via phone, e-mail, and records time and date of appointments in the AS400 system database or other company/internal freight monitoring system used within the company. Appointment Clerks are a critical member to our OD Family; they help us keep promises to our customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and place outgoing calls to customers to schedule pickups and delivery
  • Enter appointments in the computer in a timely manner
  • Perform general customer service by responding to emails, status of shipments, helping customers correctly complete Bill of Ladings and label freight, etc.
  • Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience AS400 preferred

AM / PM
