Job Description
Are you interested in a career in advanced semiconductor manufacturing? Analog Devices is seeking motivated Manufacturing Team Members to join our Wafer Fabrication facility in Beaverton, Oregon. As a Wafer Fab Operator, you will play a critical role in manufacturing the integrated circuits that power today's industrial, automotive, communications, healthcare, and consumer technologies.
Working in our state-of-the-art cleanroom environment, you will operate production equipment, monitor manufacturing processes, and ensure product quality while supporting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Process wafers through semiconductor manufacturing equipment in accordance with established specifications and procedures to meet production goals.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment while following manufacturing priorities.
  • Transport wafer lots throughout the 100,000-square-foot cleanroom using established handling procedures.
  • Load and unload wafer cassettes and boxes while following proper wafer handling protocols.
  • Perform visual inspections, quality checks, and required measurements to ensure product quality.
  • Accurately enter production data and update manufacturing systems to support process tracking and data integrity.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Equipment, and Quality teams to resolve production and quality issues.
  • Follow all cleanroom, safety, chemical handling, and wafer handling procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new team members as needed.

Work Environment
This position is performed in a semiconductor cleanroom environment. Team members are required to wear full cleanroom garments, including a full-body suit, hood, safety glasses, face mask, gloves, and cleanroom footwear.
To maintain the integrity of the manufacturing environment, the following are not permitted inside the cleanroom:
  • Personal cell phones
  • Makeup
  • Hairspray or hair gel
  • Perfume or cologne

Schedule
The Beaverton manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using compressed work week (CWW) schedules. Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential. All schedules include weekend work.
Available shifts include:
  • D1 Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • N1 Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (12.9% average shift differential)
  • D2 Shift: Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • N2 Shift: Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (19.4% average shift differential)

Overtime is paid after 10 hours worked per shift.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Skills and Competencies
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Strong ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to accurately enter production data.

  • Flexibility to work compressed work week schedules, including weekends.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
  • Frequently climb stairs throughout the shift.
  • Lift and manipulate wafer boxes using both hands, including overhead movements.
  • Push and pull carts weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Distinguish colors (including red, green, blue, and white) and recognize flashing visual alarms.
  • Hear and respond promptly to equipment alarms.
  • Perform all duties while wearing required cleanroom personal protective equipment.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected starting wage for this position is $22.50-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates with relevant semiconductor or manufacturing experience may qualify for higher starting pay based on skills, work history, and assigned shift.
