Position Summary
The Student Office Assistant is assigned to both the Box Office and the Theatre Department Office. In both offices, the student will perform administrative tasks necessary for the department as well as provide customer service for the patrons who attend UIW theatrical productions.
Essential Functions
Primary duties include but not limited to:
  • Selling tickets
  • Taking payments
  • Answering phone calls and setting up Box Office Voice Mail for upcoming productions
  • Take reservations
  • Greeting patrons
  • Providing production-specific information
  • Ushering during performances
  • Filing/ Photocopying/ Organization
  • Posting department information
  • Taking Messages
  • Other duties as assigned

Conversational Spanish is also a plus
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Valid Texas driver's license with the ability to be insured through UIW's vehicle insurance carrier
Work Hours
The schedule will work around the students' academic schedule.
Nights and weekends are REQUIRED for this position.
