In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face that guides customers through their purchasing journey, providing expert product knowledge, personalized recommendations, and exceptional service. Your proactive attitude and passion for retail will help foster a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and boosts store success.

Qualifications

  • Fluent English & Spanish speaking is a must.

  • Able to lift up to 150 pounds.

  • Self Motivated, reliable and responsible.

  • Computer and Printing Skills.

  • Willing and able to work flexible schedule including weekends.

  • Strong Verbal and Written communication skills, including spelling and math.

  • Professional customer service and Positive attitude.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their needs, offering tailored product suggestions and demonstrations.

  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments.

  • Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest.

  • Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-maintained.

  • Upsell relevant products or services to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive customer experience.

  • Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times.

  • Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies to ensure product availability.

  • Supervise or assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering teamwork and a collaborative store environment.

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse customers, colleagues, and management.

Experience

  • Prior experience at The UPS Store or similar shipping/retail environment is preferred.

  • Bilingual abilities are a must, enabling you to serve a broader range of customers effectively.

  • Experience with POS systems, cashiering, or grocery store operations will be advantageous.

  • Supervising experience in a retail setting demonstrates leadership qualities beneficial for team support roles.

  • Familiarity with merchandising, stock management, and retail math ensures smooth daily operations.
