What Youโ€™ll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician, youโ€™ll play a crucial role in creating a well-maintained and welcoming community for our residents. Your expertise and dedication will enhance the propertyโ€™s value while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable living experience for everyone. This full-time, non-exempt position reports directly to the Property Manager.

Just minutes away from UF, our newly renovated, spacious 2, 3, and 4-bedroom premium and standard apartments are perfect for students looking for a convenient and comfortable living experience close to downtown. At Hideaway, we prioritize your convenience. Students can ride the Gainesville RTS bus for free to anywhere they want to go allowing you to explore the city effortlessly. Our apartments near UF come with an array of amazing features that will make you feel right at home. Enjoy private bathrooms for every room, a full-size washer and dryer, screened-in patios, free cable and Wi-Fi, fully furnished bedrooms with queen beds, and much more.
What Youโ€™ll Own:
  • Ensure timely and thorough completion of all resident service requests, including after-hours and emergency needs. You will participate in an on-call rotation with the rest of the maintenance team.
  • Execute unit turnovers and make-readies for new residents to meet move-in deadlines with high-quality standards.
  • Proactively maintain the exterior and common areas of the community, including grounds, breezeways, and shared spaces, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Perform swimming pool maintenance and ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards, where applicable.
  • Identify and address maintenance issues proactively to minimize disruptions and improve property efficiency.
  • Consistently adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies. Promptly report any hazards or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Utilize property resources, tools, and supplies efficiently and safely, ensuring proper care, maintenance, and inventory of equipment.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to meet property goals and foster a culture of teamwork and support.
  • Maintain the required uniform and ensure a professional and approachable appearance at all times.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
What Youโ€™ll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic English communication skills to follow instructions and interact with residents and team members.
  • Previous general maintenance experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances, strongly preferred.
  • EPA Certification (Type I and II) preferred; may be required in some locations.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use maintenance management software and email systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
  • Ability to frequently walk and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift/move loads up to 50 lbs. and use a ladder.
  • Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property and have reliable transportation to participate in on-call duties.
