Maintenance Technician – Apartment Complex

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring apartments and common areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, windows, and fixtures.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Maintain grounds, common areas, and building exteriors as needed.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls when required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
