Job description

The Rosen Group is partnering with First Energy to recruit a Director of Leadership & Employee Development. This is a high-impact executive role for a builder who is genuinely excited about enterprise transformation, fresh ideas, and constructing modern talent infrastructure.



The position can be based onsite in OH, PA, NJ, or WV, and will interface directly with leaders at all levelsโ€”from front-line supervisors to the C-suite.


The Role at a Glance:

  • The Mission: Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise-wide leadership curricula, career-pathing initiatives, and continuous learning ecosystems.
  • The Team: Manage and coach a dedicated team of L&D professionals (instructional design, facilitation, and program delivery).
  • The Scope: Drive modern, technology-enabled learning methodologies across both corporate and field operations.


Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years in L&D/Talent Development + 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven track record designing leadership programs within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Preferred: Experience in utilities, energy, heavy industrial, or highly regulated environments (ideally working with union/represented and non-represented workforces).
