Job description

Summary:
The Deli Cashier helps monitor the Lite Bite as they clean, stock, and perform cashiering responsibilities. They provide a friendly, courteous, and helpful atmosphere for guests and associates. Their primary responsibility is collecting payment from customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide guests with prompt, efficient, and friendly service with a smile; always use the guest's name if possible.
  • Stock and rotate merchandise - report low inventory to the Lite Bite Manager.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • Relay all guest comments or concerns to management or the supervisor on duty.
  • Assist in other departments as necessary.
  • Assist with monthly inventory.
  • Stock all condiments.
  • Take out the trash at the cashier's station.
  • Be aware of all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of all standard menu items and prices; be aware of daily specials and group discounts.
  • Responsible for completing all proper paperwork about cash handling procedures, such as cash out reports, drop logs, voids, etc.
  • Report lost and found items.
  • Sell and handle alcohol.
  • Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:
  • Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
