Job description

Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel is looking for a full-time Bell Person, who would report to the Front Office Manager. The Bell Person is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient luggage assistance to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout. For this position, a high school diploma is required and experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.

Some of the essential functions of the position include:

  • Escorting hotel guests to rooms and assisting with luggage to and from guestrooms.
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming when working.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.
  • Answer guest inquires about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner. Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions.
