Job description

Individuals fulfilling this role are responsible for working during scheduled events at the Renaissance Centre for the Arts in a support and customer service capacity. Essential Functions Duties include but are not limited to moving tables and chairs to set up and subsequently tear down various room layouts, ticket collection, concessions sales, checking coats, clearing tables, inspecting and stocking restrooms, assisting caterers, assisting performers, and most importantly; providing exceptional guest service. Event set-up and breakdown (tables, chairs, AV equipment) Event duties to include welcoming and assisting guests, emptying trash, and maintaining lobby, kitchen, and bathroom cleanliness.

General upkeep to include maintaining cleanliness of center (dusting, sweeping, trash removal, window cleaning) Event Staff may perform other duties as assigned, which contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the Renaissance Centre, but within the scope of this classification. For example, you may assist the Box Office with ticket sales and answering the phone. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications The Town of Wake Forest - Renaissance Centre for the Arts is looking for: Individuals capable to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays. Prior work experience in customer service preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS: Environmental: Office and Field: Work may require travel from various sites and occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions.

Odd shift hours and working on holidays. Physical: Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Lifting up to 50lbs.

Once an offer of employment has been extended, candidates will undergo a thorough background investigation, including NC State Bureau of Investigation fingerprinting.
