Job description

Area Manager | Watson Media House (Northwest Arkansas)

About Watson Media HouseWatson Media House is a full-service real estate media company delivering high-quality photography, videography, virtual tours, and branding content for agents. We work with over 1,000 agents, including many top producers, across Northwest Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas City, and Tulsa.

We're looking for a true team leader to own and run our Northwest Arkansas market. This is a management-first role for someone who genuinely enjoys leading a team. You'll run the market, own quality and coverage, and grow it. You'll also shoot, our leaders stay sharp in the field, but leading is the job.

What You'll Do

  • Own your market. Run it, grow it, and answer for it. You bring leadership the picture before they ask.
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of real estate photographers.
  • Own daily quality: review your team's shoots each morning so nothing goes out below standard, and send it back or fix it when it does.
  • Run monthly scored reviews of each shooter and address underperformance directly.
  • Own coverage: callouts never become client no-shows. You're the backup when it counts.
  • Be the point of contact for anything urgent in your market.
  • Train new hires start to finish and own how well they ramp.
  • Get in front of agents: at least one office visit or event a month to grow the market.
  • Manage market equipment and inventory.
  • Shoot listings yourself (2-4 days per week depending on market volume; we'll train you on our exact style).
  • Report your numbers weekly, unprompted.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Leader: You've managed a team and you liked it. This is the core requirement.
  • Takes Ownership: You run your market without being chased. You bring problems and solutions to leadership, not the other way around.
  • Structured & Accountable: You run on systems, follow-through, and clear expectations.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Callouts and busy seasons don't rattle you. You solve coverage fast.
  • Comfortable Behind a Camera: Photography or videography experience strongly preferred. We'll train the rest.
  • People-Oriented: You can coach a struggling shooter and have the hard conversation when needed.
  • Local: Based in Northwest Arkansas with reliable transportation.

Requirements

  • Prior people-management experience (required).
  • Photography or videography experience (strongly preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Pay & Benefits

  • Base salary of $32,000 plus per-project shooting pay plus a monthly market growth bonus.
  • Realistic all-in earnings of $58,000-$65,000.
  • Consistent salary paid through payroll. Your management time is paid, period.
  • Growth bonus tied to clear monthly numbers you'll see every month.
  • Full training on our media systems, equipment, and standards.
  • Room to grow as we expand markets.

Job Details

  • Job Type: W-2 Employee (Full-time)
  • Pay: $32,000 base + shooting pay + growth bonus ($58,000-$65,000 realistic all-in)
  • Work Location: Northwest Arkansas (in the field)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, Saturdays off (reachable for urgent issues)
  • License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
