Job Description

The Northwest Bank Executive Director of Private Banking will be directly responsible for managing all aspects of the Private Bank offer, including multiple direct reports functioning in various geographies and representing all product and service aspects within the Wealth Management Group. As a senior leader within the Wealth Management Group this position will interact with various leaders within the Wealth Management Group and executive partners within Northwest Banks Retail, Commercial, Mortgage and Small Business Banking segments to ensure strong cross-referral procedures and deepen revenue opportunities throughout the Northwest Bank organization. This position will also create both internal and external marketing strategies to drive visibility and establish and maintain the P&L aspects associated with this extremely important vertical business.
Essential Functions
Develop, manage, and maintain the Private Bank team in key strategic markets throughout the Northwest footprint.
Establish and enhance core business metrics that meet or exceed annual plan and budgetary requirements.
Perform continuous market analysis to identify and enhance the client experience and generate revenue from the Private Bank key services including Depository, Lending, and Investment Management services.
Work in close co-operation with various business line leaders to ensure the Wealth Management experience is delivered in a broad and consistent fashion.
Ensure that Private Bank offerings are competitive and delivered in an initiative-taking fashion to clients of Northwest Bank seeking this level of service.
Partner with the Marketing teams in developing both internal and external brand recognition engagements and sales materials.
Responsible for managing pipeline and activities to ensure appropriate number of opportunities are pursued to ensure revenue and budgetary goals.
Keep up to date with markets, investments and private banking products and services and competitor offerings.
Create, schedule, lead internal training sessions about the Private Bank offering and all aspects of the Wealth Management Group products and services.
Additional Essential Functions
Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
Work as part of a team
Work with on-site equipment
Additional Responsibilities
Partner with Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Trust, and Commercial Banking leaders on integrated client solutions
Identify new client segments or product opportunities (e.g., family offices, entrepreneurs, crossborder clients)
Lead strategic planning around asset gathering, profitability, and client lifecycle management
Act as a senior escalation point for client complaints, disputes, or compliance issues
Participate in talent calibration, succession planning, and compensation decisions
