Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III - Lead to support the KC-135 Contractor Field Team (CFT) Support Services program. This is a full-time position based at Fairchild AFB, Washington, with frequent travel to CONUS and OCONUS TDY locations, and is contingent upon contract award.

The Aircraft Mechanic III - Lead serves as the senior technical leader for Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level (O/I/D) maintenance operations on the KC-135 aircraft. This position is responsible for leading maintenance teams, coordinating daily maintenance activities, assigning workloads, and ensuring all maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders, established maintenance procedures, and contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship to maintenance personnel, troubleshoot complex aircraft discrepancies, monitor maintenance production, and ensure compliance with quality assurance, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and safety programs. The Lead Mechanic will work closely with Site Leadership and Government representatives to support aircraft readiness and mission success while maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and ensuring timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

This position requires an experienced aircraft maintenance professional with exceptional leadership, organizational, and technical skills who is capable of leading maintenance teams in both home station and deployed environments while supporting worldwide KC-135 maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead aircraft maintenance teams performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level maintenance on KC-135 aircraft.ย 
  • Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor daily maintenance activities to support mission requirements.ย 
  • Supervise scheduled, unscheduled, inspection, and corrective maintenance operations.ย 
  • Troubleshoot complex aircraft system discrepancies and provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel.ย 
  • Mentor and develop Aircraft Mechanic I and II personnel while promoting safe and efficient maintenance practices.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders, maintenance documentation requirements, quality assurance standards, and company policies.ย 
  • Review maintenance records and aircraft documentation for accuracy and completeness.ย 
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Government representatives, Site Leadership, and other functional teams.ย 
  • Enforce compliance with tool accountability, FOD prevention, and workplace safety programs.ย 
  • Support worldwide CONUS and OCONUS deployments in support of Contractor Field Team mission requirements.ย

Requirements

  • This position is contingent upon contract award.ย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in aircraft maintenance is preferred.ย 
  • Minimum five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience on a U.S. Air Force wide-body aircraft (KC-135 preferred) or equivalent military aircraft.ย 
  • Previous experience leading or supervising aircraft maintenance teams in an operational or production environment.ย 
  • Thorough knowledge of Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level (O/I/D) aircraft maintenance procedures.ย 
  • Extensive experience performing scheduled, unscheduled, and inspection maintenance on military aircraft.ย 
  • Strong working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, hydraulics, flight controls, fuel systems, powerplants, pneudraulics, structural repairs, and associated support systems.ย 
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex aircraft system discrepancies using technical data and maintenance documentation.ย 
  • Proficiency interpreting U.S. Air Force Technical Orders (TOs), engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical publications.ย 
  • Experience reviewing maintenance documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.ย 
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to mentor junior maintenance personnel.ย 
  • Knowledge of maintenance production, quality assurance, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and aircraft safety programs.ย 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.ย 
  • Current Secret Security Clearance required.ย 
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred.ย 
  • Previous experience as a Production Superintendent, Lead Mechanic, Section Chief, Expediter, or equivalent U.S. Air Force maintenance leadership position preferred.ย 
  • Previous experience supporting Contractor Field Teams (CFT), Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), or U.S. Government aircraft maintenance contracts preferred.ย 
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.ย 
  • Must be willing and able to travel to Fairchild AFB, Washington, and worldwide CONUS/OCONUS TDY locations in support of mission requirements.ย 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all customer-required clearances and meet all company, customer, and U.S. Government pre-employment requirements.
