Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will support the repair and maintenance of industrial AC/DC electric motors and generators, using manual machine tools and balancing equipment. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual machining equipment including engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and related tools
  • Use overhead cranes, gantry cranes, forklifts, and associated rigging safely
  • Perform precise mechanical measurements using tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration measurement instruments
  • Work according to safety standards and service center procedures

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a machinist in electric motor repair (preferred)
  • Proficient in using micrometers and other precision measuring tools
  • Skilled in operating various sizes of manual lathes
  • Familiarity with electro-plating equipment a plus
  • Solid math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow and retain training, safety, and operational procedures
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
