Job description

Position Summary

The Installation Crew Member is responsible for assisting with commercial flooring installation projects while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. Working under the direction of the Crew Leader, this position helps complete projects efficiently, cares for company tools and equipment, and represents TRI Solutions professionally on every job site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform installation work in accordance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and project requirements.
  • Assist with site preparation, material handling, installation, cleanup, and final project completion.
  • Follow instructions from the Crew Leader to ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
  • Properly operate and care for company tools and equipment.
  • Inspect assigned tools and equipment before and after use and report any damage or maintenance needs.
  • Clean, organize, and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each workday.
  • Load, unload, and organize materials for each project.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of installation materials and notify the Crew Leader when supplies are running low.
  • Minimize material waste by handling products carefully and following proper installation procedures.
  • Assist in keeping company vehicles clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Load and unload tools and materials safely and securely.
  • Report vehicle concerns or damage to the Crew Leader.
  • Perform work that meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Immediately report safety concerns, incidents, injuries, or hazardous conditions.
  • Work cooperatively with the Crew Leader and fellow crew members.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • Accurately record work hours and complete required documentation.
  • Report material usage and project issues to the Crew Leader in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Previous construction or commercial flooring installation experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry materials and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and uneven terrain.

Work Environment

This position primarily works at commercial customer job sites and may require travel between locations.
