Garver is seeking a Transportation Team Leader to oversee client relationships and manage projects as part of our growing team in the Tampa area. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to lead projects, market our services, interact with the biggest transportation clients in Florida, and perform the work.
Responsibilities:
• Client interaction and business development
• Project management
• Sub-consultant coordination
• Project/task scheduling
• Knowledge of transportation design
• Team oversight
Technical experience should include:
• Geometric design for roadways/interchanges
• Construction sequencing and traffic control
• Utility relocation coordination
• Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire
• Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience
• Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) as well as FDOT Design manuals and processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on DOT transportation projects
