Welcome to The HOUSEpitality Family! We are the restaurant group who owns and operates all Boathouse, Casa del Barco, Island Shrimp Co. and Can Can Brasserie locations in and around Richmond, VA.

Our Guests come to us to Celebrate Life one bit at a time with great views, unique character, and delicious food! We are looking for passionate professionals that want to provide exceptional service while having fun and making money. Flexible in-store training. PTO accrual starts on day one!

The Bartender will provide excellent guest drinking experience. The Bartender will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customer's needs and expectations.

Position Expectations:

  • Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant guests
  • Interact with guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
  • Assess guests' needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Follow food and beverage guides
  • Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Completing all checklists required
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bartenders must have prior experience
  • Bartenders must be 21
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays
