Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Control Technician I will be responsible for inspecting inbound/outbound raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer specifications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Inspection Duties
• Follows sampling plans by applying variable and sequential sampling methods of all finished goods received.
• Inputs all sampling data results into the Company database and prepares reports on the data collected.
• Ensures orders meet customer specifications and requirements.
• Utilizes Company database systems to make necessary adjustments to inventory by tracking finished products for delivery.
Combined Duties
• Inspects products and raw materials received from international vendors for all core product SKUs to validate compliance with Company and customer product specifications and requirements.
• Assists with resolving issues when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Inspection Duties
• Inspects products by comparing them to the item specifications found in Roll Out documentation, PD spec sheets, and the Warehouse Management System, ensuring that all requirements have been met.
• Updates the inbound inspection tracking spreadsheet on a daily basis.
• Communicates inbound inspection audit results to management in the event of a non-conformance.
• Inspects packaging components by comparing them to the item specifications.
• Ensures that all packaging component inspections are recorded with the proper data including the pass/fail results case quantity, inner packs, carton labels, bag types/quality, fold size/product size verified with measurements, price ticket and other packaging.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 1 year of experience working in Quality Control is required; textile industry experience is a plus
• Experience with AS-400, Logimax and Frontier computer database system is a plus
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to be flexible to changing requests
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Able to occasionally lift objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds
• Able to occasionally carry objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently bend, climb, crawl, kneel and/or squat
• Able to frequently push and/or pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds
• Able to walk and/or stand six hours a day
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk
• Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer
