What You’ll Be Doing…

We are seeking a Textile Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of high‑quality textile products. This role bridges product design, material engineering, and production, ensuring fabrics meet performance, quality, cost, and sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Develop and engineer textile structures (woven, knitted, nonwoven, or specialty fabrics) to meet functional, aesthetic, and performance requirements
  • Partner with designers and product teams to translate concepts into manufacturable textile solutions
  • Specify yarns, fibers, finishes, coatings, and constructions based on end‑use requirements
  • Conduct material testing and performance evaluations (durability, colorfastness, shrinkage, strength, etc.)

Manufacturing & Process Engineering

  • Support textile manufacturing processes including spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing, and coating
  • Optimize production methods for quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal plants and external mills to ensure technical standards are met
  • Assist with scale‑up from lab development to full production

Quality & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain product specifications, standards, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, yield, and waste reduction
  • Participate in audits and supplier technical reviews

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work cross‑functionally with design, sourcing, quality, and operations teams
  • Evaluate new materials, technologies, and sustainable textile solutions
  • Support cost‑reduction and value‑engineering initiatives without compromising performance

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in textile manufacturing, textile R&D, or product development
  • Hands‑on knowledge of textile processes (woven, knit, nonwoven, finishing)
  • Strong understanding of fibers, yarns, fabric construction, and textile testing methods
  • Ability to read and develop technical specifications and process documentation
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
