BASIC FUNCTION

Performs the duties necessary to maintain product and process quality in accordance with the Quality Management System. Improves customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and collaboration to exceed plant and organizational goals. Specializes in Data Center AHU inspection and testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED

  • Performs and assists with Data Center AHU preparation and testing: End of Line Testing; supports additional testing in plant
  • Sets up, programs, and verifies test equipment, maintaining equipment durability and calibration
  • Creates, revises, and generates customer documents as a result of testing or product performance
  • Proficient in understanding electrical systems, AHU power and controls, and the ability to utilize and develop effective tools for troubleshooting, testing, and repairs
  • Compare customer documentation to final product through inspections
  • Collaborate with all functional areas to support execution to customer and organizational requirements
  • Organize and maintain documentation used in the inspection of the product per requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Generates deviation reports with critical information and takes action to ensure containment of defective parts
  • Interfaces with customer service, product service, marketing, etc. to troubleshoot product issues including occasional field work.
  • Selects products for audit at specified stages in the production process and inspects products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, written procedures, and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
  • Executes receiving inspection of select supplier components, recording results and documenting any non-conformance
  • Be observant in recognizing details associated with defective material, manufacturing/supplied product, and accuracy of records.
  • Performs internal quality audits to meet the requirements of ISO 9000. Help maintain the Quality system to the requirements of ISO 9000.
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of manufacturing capability.
  • Champions and supports problem solving methodologies for implementation of permanent corrective action
  • Maintains calibration system, upkeep, and maintenance of calibrated equipment used to determine product quality.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Five (5) years of related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, and/or factory reps.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area and circumference. Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and MOM. Must be able to obtain within three (3) months.
