To strengthen our team, we are looking for a technically accomplished and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to serve as the primary field-facing subject matter expert (SME) for our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and test bench product lines across the North American market.
TEST-FUCHS Corporation is executing an ambitious growth strategy where success depends on earning the trust of major airlines, MROs, and OEMs. This role is designed for a self-driven aviation professional who brings deep hands-on experience with GSE operations, the uncompromising service cadence of commercial airline and MRO environments and airframe or powerplant systems. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers when they need reliable answers, and ensuring those answers are delivered with expertise, urgency, and precision.
With this expansion of our North American operations, the Technical Support Specialist role offers a clear progression path into a Working Lead position, where you will guide and mentor junior team members while actively shaping and scaling our support delivery model.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for TEST-FUCHS GSE products, including test benches, WaliClean (WLC) systems, and related tooling
  • Provide hands-on support (on-site and remote) to airline and MRO customers across North America, ensuring reliable and timely issue resolution
  • Lead technical troubleshooting efforts by applying structured diagnostic approaches across hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Coordinate complex escalations with engineering teams in Austria, translating field issues into clear technical requirements
  • Take ownership of the full post-sales support process, including installation, commissioning, operator training, and warranty topics
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, communicating clearly in time-critical operational environments (e.g., AOG)
  • Support commercial activities by contributing technical expertise during customer visits and identifying service and upgrade opportunities
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge base development, and continuous improvement of support processes
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of junior technical staff as the North American team continues to grow

  • 8+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, GSE, or aerospace test equipment
  • Experience with test benches and GSE, combined with functional knowledge of major aircraft systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in time-critical environments
  • Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% across North America - domestic US & Canada; periodic international (Austria, Mexico, Latin America)

Preferred
  • AME license (like FAA A&P or Transport Canada)
  • Experience with GSE certification and regulatory requirements
  • Background in avionics or electronic test systems
  • Experience with airline QA processes or military aviation
