Rohde & Schwarz

Remote

$153K - $245K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 5 days ago

Job description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our Power Electronics Test and Measurement business across North America. You will own go-to-market strategy execution for power electronics test solutions, build relationships with design and test organizations at OEMs, CEMs, module and device manufacturers and independent labs, drive POCs and conversions, enable channels, and work closely with applications engineering and product management to expand R&S adoption across R&D, qualification and production test workflows. This position is remote, but candidates must live near a major international airport in the US.
Your tasks
  • Develop a North America go-to-market strategy addressing Rohde & Schwarz Power Electronics T&M solutions (R&D, characterization, reliability, pre compliance and production).
  • Identify, prioritize and pursue target accounts and segments (power semiconductor manufacturers, module/packaging houses, EV charging/system OEMs, inverter/storage/traction OEMs, industrial drives, datacenters, independent test labs).
  • Educate sales and customers on Rohde & Schwarz test solutions addressing switching loss and efficiency measurement, double pulse testing, gate driver validation, parasitic extraction, high resolution oscilloscope measurements, wideband power sensing, grid/battery simulation, and EMI/EMC pre compliance.
  • Generate market intelligence and customer feedback to influence product roadmap and prioritize features for power electronics workflows.
  • Produce and present technical content (webinars, application notes, case studies, flyers, posters) that demonstrate best practices and ROI - e.g., high resolution oscilloscope diagnostics, automated loss measurement, EMI debug workflows.
  • Represent R&S at industry events, standards working groups and customer forums.

Exciting insights into Rohde & Schwarz
Our colleagues provide insider information about:
  • Daily adventures and challenges
  • Our passionate team
  • The technologies behind the innovative projects and solutions

Your qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Physics or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of B2B sales/business development or field/applications engineering experience selling test & measurement equipment or technical capital solutions to power electronics, semiconductor, automotive/EV, industrial or lab customers.
  • Strong technical understanding of power electronics measurement challenges: switching behavior, switching loss/efficiency measurement, double pulse testing, gate driver validation, parasitics/S parameter extraction, thermal/reliability testing, EMI/EMC pre compliance, and production/ATE test requirements.
  • Practical experience with high bandwidth/high resolution oscilloscopes, power analyzers/wideband power sensors, electronic loads/sources, grid/battery simulators, spectrum analyzers, LISNs and EMI debug tools.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing complex sales cycles, running POCs/demos and closing solution deals (hardware + software + services).
  • Excellent communication skills: able to present complex technical concepts to engineers and decision makers and to produce technical collateral.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the US and Canada (up to 50%).
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and hold US citizenship or permanent work authorization.
